The 2002 SKA Conference will be held in the city of Groningen in the North-East of the Netherlands from 13-15 August. The meeting will be followed by a two day meeting of the International SKA Steering Committee (ISSC) on 16 & 17 August (at ASTRON in Dwingeloo) and the XXVIIth General Assembly of the URSI in Maastricht from 17-24 August.

Theme of the meeting is to be a discussion based on a series of reports currently being written – and available well ahead of the meeting itself.

  • Reports from the Science Working Groups on Science Drivers - completed after the recent meeting in Bologna.
  • National Development Programmes that focus on a particular concept.
  • Engineering Working Group activities being coordinated by the Engineering Management Team.

The meeting will be held in Conference Centre "Het Kasteel", housed in a beautifully restored late 19th century Neo-Gothic building on the edge of Groningen's city centre - within walking distance of hotels, restaurants and shops.
