LOFAR in France
FLOW - LOFAR in France
The French community has formed a Consortium called FLOW - French LOng Wavelength Consortium.
Currently, the French are building a LOFAR station on the terrain of the Nançay observatory next to the decameter array. They have the ambitious plan to extend this station into a superstation in the coming years increasing the capabilities of LOFAR even further.

Field preparation in September 2009. The field has been prepared and flattened and is waiting for the hardware.
ASTRON initiated LOFAR as a new and innovative effort to force a breakthrough in sensitivity for astronomical observations at radio-frequencies below 250 MHz.
